Steve Konolay lays in bed at LaMariposa, a long term care facility in Fairfield, Calif. Konolay, who has Multiple Sclerosis, is 51 years old and has lived at the home for the past six years. “I enjoy my life here, but it gets pretty boring being in bed all day,” Konolay said. “But that’s life, and as long as I’m alive I’m going to enjoy each day as much as possible.”
