Chris Jordan is a photographer, filmmaker and multimedia producer in Oakland, CA. He believes in the importance and power of visual storytelling and brings this passion to each project. A 2003 graduate of the University of Washington, he has worked for newspapers in Illinois, Oregon, Montana and California.
In 2009 he was named the San Francisco Bay Area Press Photographers Association Photographer of the Year. His photography and multimedia have also been awarded by the Best of Photojournalism, the National Press Photographers Association, the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, the Eddie Adams Workshop, the Associated Press, and numerous state and local organizations.
Before his career in journalism, Chris was a musician. When he’s not working he loves playing and listening to music, as well as cooking, hiking and spending time with his brilliant girlfriend.
